Mama’s Quick and Easy Marinara
In a hurry, quick and easy marinara sauce. Perfect over pasta,or to use as the sauce for your eggplant and chickenparmesan, or when you make your next homemade pizza.
Ingredients
2 medium cloves Garlic, chopped
1/4 cup Olive Oil
1/3 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, optional
28 ounce can Tomato Puree
8 ounces water
1/4 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Basil leaves, fresh chopped (or 1 tsp dried)

saucepan
spoon for stirring
Instructions
In a saucepan, add olive oil and garlic over mediumheat, saute garlic until golden brown and fragrant.
Add red pepper flakes, tomato puree and water (usewater to rinse the can to remove residual sauce). Addsalt and basil.
Simmer for about 20-minutes, stirring occasionally.
